-Will going to a Community college in LA give me a better chance of getting into USC?
-Or is it the same if i get into a CSU or UC?
-Does the major i am applying for(Film Production) matter?

My state college choices were: SFSU, SDSU, SJSU, and CSULB if this matters..

Hi Troiana! I had the same problem as you not too long ago. I applied to USC as a senior but did not get in for fall 2012, but in my letter they did categorize me under the Trojan Transfer Plan which is especially created for either legacy students or students with really good stats but just did not make the cut for that year.
So under this program I met with a counselor and she helped me pick out classes that will transfer to USC for credit and count as GE.

I currently attend CSUF and planning to attend USC this fall 2013 transferring in as a sophomore. According to my counselor, it really depends on you if you want to go to a CC or CSU. The only difference is that at a CC you have a counselor guiding you on what to take that will transfer to USC. At a CSU you basically pick out your classes on your own, but using an articulation history between that CSU and USC, picking classes is not a big deal. I chose to attend a CSU because I wanted to be better prepared to transfer in SC being that I did attend a four year university and am adjusted to big classes or what not. Depends on you, but if cost is not an issue, I’d suggest CSU to increase your chances being that a GPA from an actual four year school speaks higher than a two year institution. Hope this helps and good luck!
