I applied to USC Marshall for the fall of 2012 and they are waiting for my final grades before deciding to admit me or not. Is this a good sign? The only prerequisite course I am taking right now is calculus, otherwise I am taking Spanish 3 (not a prereq) and Geology (This is a general education requirement). So I am guessing they want my calc grade, which I will probably get a C in. I will get a B in Spanish 3 and an A in geology. Finals are next week. What are your thoughts on me getting accepted? How long after I get them my final grades will they let me know?

If you got a tutor for calculus would it be possible to pull off an B in the class? Your math classes are very important for Marshall.

Not really. We have one test left and the final. Im hoping to hold strong at a C in the class. I do know math is very important though which is why i’m so worried.

I am really involved in student life though. Like a ridiculous amount, and also have interned at a top advertising agency, so I think thats what may be keeping me in the running at all?

If you cannot do better than a C in high school calculus you will probably not be admitted.

Its college calculus, I am a transfer student.

I would plan on retaking Calculus this summer if it turns out your final grade is less than B . One suggestion when you send in new transcript tell them you plan on repeating the Calculus class this summer. Email counselor at USC .

Can I retake a class if I get a C in it? And do I just email any counselor saying that?

I would wait till final grades come in and then email USC counselor and ask if retaking the class the summer would put you in better standing to get into Marshall.
