I have a question about the University of South Florida's Honors Program. I already got invited into the honors program there and they offered me a scholarship for it, but I am unsure if I should accept the invitation or not. I am planning on majoring in biology, although I don't exactly know what I am going to do with it down the road...I would either go into pharmaceuticals, molecular biology, forensic biology, or even marine biology - I figured I would just begin with general biology and see which path I like better from there. But the question I have is in regards to one of the honors program's opportunities. I heard that there is a study abroad program...is that a requirement? I've heard about so many people studying abroad, but I don't think I would be interested in that. Can you be in the honors program and not study abroad at all during your four years? Also, if anyone has been through or is currently enrolled in USF's Honors Program, I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the program in general, so I can decide if it is the best option for me!

Try it out you can always drop it if you want. I am engineering and I do not recommend it for engineers. It is mostly time consuming essay writing. That is all of your grade or discussions. If you like that and want a class in philosophy or 20th century literature then great do it. The benefit would only be that you can register for classes early. I was not in the honors college but still had this luxury do to a high gpa. I know there is a requirement for more foreign language OR the study abroad:
