USF, Summer B?

I received a letter from USF a few days ago stating that I could either be put on the waiting list or start school in the summer. I decided to do the summer, but I have a few questions (:

How many classes would I take in the summer and how will my AP scores affect what classes I take? I believe AP scores come out in July and the summer course starts in June.

Also, will I live in the same dorm in the summer as in the fall? And what should I expect from the summer classes?

Thanks :D

Summer B students usually take two 3 credit hr courses. I started in the summer too, 2 summers back. I took an American history class and a “Black Experience” course to meet general studies requirements. If you haven’t got credit for freshman English with AP or DE, you’ll probably have an English course summer term and another 3 hr class. When you go to orientation discuss your AP class with advisor, if you are confident you probably passed–they’ll go with that in setting up your summer classes.

Summertime you’ll be in a different dorm than Fall term. I enjoyed the summer term–it went quickly and is a great way to begin college and make new friends.

If you are accepted to the Summer B term u are enrolled into the school, correct? Meaning, once fall term starts u can take classes as well

^^Unless you are in some kind of special program just for summer or admitted with a probationary period where you have to complete some special courses with minimum grades to advance to fall, you should be all set for fall if you were admitted as new student for summer B term.

You can talk to your advisor about what you anticipate your AP scores to be and they can place you in classes that will match.

Thanks everyone (:
I have another question, I checked OASIS and it says that I’m already scheduled for my classes. Is this supposed to happen since I haven’t picked any classes? Does USF do this for you or is this some sort of mistake?

^That’s how they do it. You don’t have much say in picking classes for your first semester. What courses are you in?

For the summer term I’m in Human Sexual Behaviour and Intro to Electronic Music. I commented on a USF Facebook page and they said that we can change our classes at orientation, so I’m going to try my hardest to get out of that music class haha (:
