USNA Medical Waiver Received Now What?

Hello,

My son received a letter from USNA stating that "a waiver of medical standards has been approved". He has received a nomination, passed CFA and is academically qualified, as I do not believe USNA would have pursued a medical waiver if he was not.

I have read that USNA Admissions only pursues medical waivers for those candidates they deemed fully qualified and plan to make an offer of appointment. Is this correct?

Thank you

Hey TXMOM – you might find better results posting this in the USNA forum (go to colleges then they have a listing there) – lots of very knowledgeable people. My D was in need of the same waiver when she was applying but she kind of lost interest after a while (probably when they told her she should wear khakis for her blue and gold interview – she doesn’t own any).
