If you haven’t heard yet that isn’t a bad sign. The majority of review applicants haven’t heard back yet. I will most likely get in and I haven’t heard yet as well as many of my auto admit friends. It doesn’t mean anything. Hang in there guys!
Very true, there are some highly qualified applicants at my school who have haven’t heard back yet
Is there an alternative portal for UT that you could use to see the status of the application from a ‘different angle’ if you know what I mean? For instance, Tamu has AIS as the primary and HOWDY as the secondary, recommended only for accepted students, though. But, if you saw six tabs on HOWDY before you were given any notice of acceptance, it meant you were accepted. Guys, is there such a portal like that for UT’s MyStatus. I am still googling.

It doesn’t work like TAMU’s Howdy portal.
I haven’t had the portal change for A&M… hmmm… People in my class who are below me and applied after me have gotten in to both A&M and UT already… I hope that’s not a bad sign
I applied in October so I am starting to get really worried… But maybe they’re just slow on geology… I’ve only seen one person say they were accepted to geology 
@BrickBean yeah A&M has been really weird with admissions. Friend who had a 35 ACT made Cockrell but got Galvy for A&M. I have no clue how that happened
@whatnames all the TAMU applicants who have applied for engineering as first choice will be given General Engineering, and to accommodate spaces they are required to spend their freshmen year at Galveston.
@whatnames …what was his GPA and rank? And when did he apply?
A&M makes it super clear they are huge and have run out of room. Is there a chance your friend applied late?
Hey guys! I got a reply from the @ bealonghorn twitter. They said “Sorry for the confusion! That email was sent in error due to a program hiccup. MyStatus always has the most up-to-date info.” So I guess it looks like the email was an accident? Sorry, guys Has anyone received the email and checked mystatus to then find it HAS been updated?
@nosyllaste I just got three emails from Cockrell and McCombs congratulating me on acceptance into their schools. I’ve been accepted into McCombs but I didn’t even apply to engineering (let alone Biomedical Engineering). I’ve replied to let them know that there has been an error. I’m guessing their system is messing up
Wow… RIP. Not as bad as sending “Congrats on being accepted” emails on accident haha
