@spankytoes I’m guessing, if you find ‘yes’ for an answer, you would be at ease eh haha. Well, I would be too cause that would mean the ones whose decisions are not out yet are waitlisted (much better than being rejected). I’m afraid, no one has been rejected yet; at least no one I know of.
Guys? Know anyone who’s been rejected yet? The word ‘yet’ sounds scary though…
My daughter was accepted to School of Architecture Interior Design program last Sunday (2/5)! Very excited. This has been incredibly stressful as she was 9% in her class and not “automatic.” She received acceptances from A&M, Tech, & U of H along with $40K in scholarship from Tech and $24K in scholarship from U of H! However, UT was her #1 choice. She has already accepted her admittance. Stats were 9%, 3.68 unweighted GPA, 30 ACT (32 math, 31 Science), 1310 SAT. Best of luck to everyone! Hook 'Em!
Does anyone know, once you are accepted via online notification, do they also send out a letter or packet? We are oos, accepted last week and wondering if anything comes in mail?
@sean191297 Auto admits aren’t necessarily admitted into their first choice major. Some aren’t offered their major and are put in Liberal Arts undeclared. Auto admits are only admitted into the university; UT goes through a holistic process when trying to decide who will be put in a major.
Have people started to receive admission letters for the UT CNS Health Science Scholars (HSS) Honors program? They said, it should be in the next 2-3 weeks. So, curious if they have started rolling in…
My son was accepted to UT architecture last week. We got our official letter yesterday. We are OOS. Does anyone have any input about scholarships in the architecture school or instate waivers?
Hey guys. I’m curious about something. Is getting into Summer session less competitive than getting into Fall? I think it is but what do you all think? Not many of us applied for Summer term have we, because most of our high schools aren’t over before mid-June? It brings me to the question, “Are summer and fall applicants weighed against each other as a whole or separately for their specific term of enrollment?” Let me know. This is interesting.
What’re yalls thoughts on having undeclared as your second choice major? I put comp sci as my first and am worried that I won’t be admitted but in past threads I’ve seen that the second choice gets overlooked. Did anyone put undeclared as second or know of anyone who was admitted with undeclared as their second choice?
@shr4567 I put undeclared as my second choice major. I thought it would give me a better shot at admittance if I didn’t get into my first choice major (political science). I haven’t heard back yet.
On another note, does anyone know roughly how what percentage or number of decisions come out in the wave this Friday? I’m not sure if it’s worth getting my hopes up.
