I just called admissions to see if I could find out anything. His words were “every Friday around 5pm a new batch of acceptances will be posted.
This will happen up until the June 15th deadline”. I asked him what was taking so long and he basically did not have a comment and said he really did not know.
Well the every Friday thing sounds like bull to me because there was no wave last Friday.
@theonegoof possibly not. Not everyone is extremely obsessed like us posting if they got in or not. So there really isn’t a way to tell.
Have y’all ever heard anything about Southern Methodist University? If I don’t get accepted to UT (and maybe even if I do lol) I think I want to go to SMU.
It definitely a great school, just quite expensive.
I didn’t have 24 completed hours at the time of applying but on my MyStatus it never said I needed to send a spring transcript. Still sending one anyways but did this happen to anyone else? TAMU emailed me right away saying they wouldn’t even look at mine till they got a spring transcript giving me 24+ hours.
@texcr832
Same exact thing happened to me. Called twice to make sure I was okay they said I was. I’m thinking it was due to my AP Credits that put me around 45 Credits, so it might be a similar situation for you. Just sent my final transcript to A&M and UT today just in case.
If June 15th is the last decision wave then when is the deadline to accept?
@transferrrrrrcc I’m not sure about ut specifically, but most schools give at least two weeks
@transferrrrrrcc UT gives you two weeks from the day you were accepted so if you were accepted on the 15th you’d have until the 29th.
I applied in November for fall 2019 and my application has been in review since December. I still haven’t heard anything. It is ridiculous at this point. All my other colleges I got accepted to needed an answer so I was basically forced to go to another school unless I wanted to take a semester of because their Admissions department is ridiculously slow. All of the classes I needed are all full at this point. Why do they make it so hard for transfer students? This is my dream school and I feel like I can’t go because they are slow… it irritates me so much that at this point I don’t care if they accepted me.
If only their admissions department were as good as their research and faculty.
I guess I’ll be moving in a week to start summer session at College Station unless UT Austin does something fast.
i got accepted today (checked the portal around 11:40)
here r my stats:
major in studio art, 29 hours, in state resident
3.1 gpa (miracles rlly do come true lol)
1 LOR
a great art portfolio and essays that redeemed me
i applied for fall 2019. good luck y’all it’s been a pleasure stressing together
@waspoppin Congrats!!
thank u very much :)))))
@waspoppin congrats!
Does anyone know, as far as credits go, how many the typical accepted transfer student has? I have 28 and I know that the minimum is 24 I’m just worried my low amount of credits puts me at a disadvantage
Congrats!!!
thank u all very much
@waspoppin Congrats! I see you are Studio Art. My son is Design which are different departments. I assume that since these are different departments, they may not be linked to the same acceptance pool? What do you think? I know the COFA has a little bit different format and space available, etc. We are still waiting/in review. Have you heard of any other acceptances in the COFA?
