Is the site slow to respond or timing out for anyone else?
yes
Wow! I got in to McCombs just now! I applied to BHP too, so I guess I’ll know about that later on— caught the admission just before the page timed out. I’m OOS by the way.
completely disagree with Sith 77 – did NOT go to UT or one of the schools mentioned in your post! I am form TX --let us pump the brakes on UT a bit.
Madison - many engineering programs much higher ranked than UT. Wash U - much higher ranked in Business than UT --only 150 students --and the SAT average scores are higher than even UPenn (per P&Q 2018 rankings!) - also higher than UT BHP!
Lived many years in Chicago suburbs --let me honest – UT does not even in the same zip code as Northwestern in terms of prestige —especially in liberal arts! BTW, Northwestern MBA is top-notch --McCombs is not even close!
UT Austin is a very good public school - let us not get carried away here!
For anyone that IS getting in, (it’s harder to get it than when trying to buy tickets at Ticketmaster)…are any of them denials or is tonight only for accepted? Also, if you are logging in, did you get an email stating that the status was updated? We didn’t get an email, so think I am wasting my time, but either way…we just NEED to know. If it’s only for people that received emails, I’ll quit bogging the system down with my futile attempts to log in. Thanks! Good luck to all of you!
@kg2013 You meant you completely agree with me. Thanks mate. This is a rough thread.
Hey! The site keeps crashing, but my daughter got him briefly and had been accepted into unspecified business. She applied for BHP, but she doesn’t know if she actually got that or not.
@jaxlaxmom No email was sent in advance. So unfortunately, you just have to keep checking.
@srparent15 Thank you!!!
@Texasmom71 I’m in the same situation. I briefly got a look at the honors tab, and it said that they were still reviewing my honors application.
Any OOS Moody acceptance updates? Our status did not change.
My son got into Aerospace Engineering. Email from UTA came this morning 12/8. He is 1520 in SAT, 790 in Math, 4.38 GPA, took 11 AP courses till his junior year in school and had good extra curricular in aerospace side. While we are Texas residents, he was in top 10% of school, NOT top 6% and hence not an auto-admit. But he comes from a very competitive school in Dallas and it would have weighted in as well.
My son got into Aerospace Engineering for class of 2023. Hope this helps other folks get a picture. Best wishes to students and more importantly parents who are going through nail-biting days. Cheers.
Just speculation here but everyone that got acceptances Friday appear to have applied to honors in conjunction with their first choice majors. If I’m wrong please post.
@TXlove Correct for us, but don’t most people apply for Honors? Is there any downside not to? Like most things, the worst that can happen is they say “no”.
Got into Aerospace as an out of state student. 4.56 GPA (4.0 UW), 1490 SAT (720 R/W 770 M), top 2% of a competitive school, and 7 AP courses.
@TXlove No, my son did not apply for Honors and he still got into aerospace engienering
My son was accepted to the Jackson school of Geosciences last Friday! Non auto admit; did not apply for honors. For Geoscience you have to have 60 hours before you can even apply to their honors program. Good luck everyone!
DS in state non-auto admit accepted Friday (12/7) into CNS physics major. Excellent (competitive) public HS, Top 15% 3.75 UW GPA, 35 ACT, over 10 AP Classes. Pretty good ECs, significant voluntary work, leadership positions, solid essay. Very excited for him. He only applied to three universities; UT and two out of state. accepted to two of three so far…guessing he will get accepted to third but hopeful he will choose UT (easy drive versus long plane ride).
When did y’all apply and have everything in?
