I'm currently an Engineering Science student at a community college in New York. I have my associates degree (overall GPA 3.90) and am planning on transferring into a Pete program at either LSU or UT--if they'll admit me. I've already been accepted to LSU for Fall 2013, but for a variety of reasons I'd prefer to finish my degree at UT. I believe the biggest obstacle to my acceptance will be a few F's on my transcript from 1999. Long story short, I registered for classes and failed to drop them when I decided to not complete the semester. Additionally, I have virtually no extracurricular activities because I'm non-traditional student with children and a full time job. Not sure if it'll be of any benefit but I did manage to complete the ENS degree in three semesters, all while raising a daughter and working full time. Any informed opinions would be very helpful. Incidentally my community college is ABET accredited and known as having a rigorous Engineering program.

Sorry, I forgot to mention my GPA if you consider the F’s is a 3.45
