Hi!

So I submitted my application to UT Dallas on January 30th as well as my transcript. However, a few days ago they said they never received my transcript. I’m kind of freaking out because the website says you need to be admitted by March 1st to be considered for AES. Any help would be appreciated. I already emailed the school and my ut counselor.

You can send your transcript through Trex which is an online application that will send the transcript at no cost. Talk to to your counselor about it. If you don’t have that option, then mail an official (unopened) transcript to them and they should receive it by then. You should send it as quickly as possible. By the way, check your galaxy portal because it will tell you what they need or things they’re missing. It also lets you know when you get admitted or get the aes. @highschooler17

Hi guys. Has anyone who appealed heard from UTD yet?

Wondering about the same …and also What’s been the success rate of appeals

It’s been almost a month but no reply :frowning:

@Pro1234 yeah I even sent them another email asking when the decision will come out. No reply…

Hello, which one is considered better, UTD bhp or McCombs regular?

For those that were accepted in early January 2018, did AES already come out for you guys?

@Pro1234 hey my aes status has been updated!!! You should check yours.

@Pham2000 Did you get an email? What did you say in the email? I checked my galaxy, and it just shows aes achievement.

No I just saw that the stipend has been upgraded to 3k

@Pro1234 Did you receive AES? What is your stats?

I am citizen and I was in band in 9th, 10, and 12th grade. Member in few clubs, lot of volunteer hours. I received achievement level scholarship after reconsideration. I was hoping for distinction. Can I ask one more time reconsideration? Is it ok to ask again to reconsider to next level? Can any one advice me.

My stats are
ACT 32
SAT 1400
UW GPA 3.2
Weighted GPA 4.3

Yea you can try again. Add some kind of new information, like grades or scores or something else. @AUSTX11

Hey guys! I’m an international student and I got the AES Distinction (!). I’d like to appeal to the honors level since my SAT score is only off my 10 points for the next level. What do I write in the appeal mail? Do you just ask or do you have to reiterate your stats?

@Lynngweeny Hello! First off, the deadline for AES awards is April 15th. Second of all, are you a US citizen (even if you’re international), if you don’t mind me asking? The only difference between the Honors and the Distinction is the stipend difference. If you are not a citizen or do not hold like a permanent visa, then you would most likely not receive the stipend. You can get more information on this if you call the UTD office and ask them the differences between the AES if you’re an international student. If you would like to know what to write in the appeal, feel free to direct message me or look back at other comments on this thread.

Through 8 semesters that stipend would make a big difference. Good luck on your appeal!

@icymusca Hey! I’m not an American citizen and would be holding only the F1 student visa. I personally felt that my application was (atleast numerically) strong - I graduated valedictorian from my IB cohort. Like @stevestar888 said the stipend would make a huge difference and I want to fund college by myself as much as possible. I thought I might try appealing since I have nothing to lose anyway! I’d like to PM you regarding the appeal, if you wouldn’t mind it. Thank you so much for your help!

P.S. How do I PM? I can’t find the button!
