UT Transfer question

Couple o' questions ;D

Well I was a pretty big slacker in high school and ended up with a 2.9 GPA and a 1800 on my SAT. I didn't really care about school and ended up going to a CC for 2 years.

My GPA is a 3.8 here at Blinn College and I was considering going to UT Austin to major in biology.

Just what kind of a GPA would I need to get in?

Do they account your SAT scores? I really hate this test and would rather not take it again lol.

Do they check for community service, extra-curriculars, ect.. while your transfering in?

I heard that when your transfering in they don't take your SAT scores or anything else that was regarded in high school to account.

Thanks alot guys!

For transfers, all you need is a good college GPA. They don’t check your SAT or HS record although they might want you to send it in

I see, I see.

But from what I hear UT accepts mainly people from other UT Campuses. Would I have a shot being from Blinn? My mate I knew in high school decided to attend UTSA but he didn’t get offered CAP, would he have a better shot of getting in than me? =/

Im pretty worried right now. =(

Not true at all. You’ll for sure get in (unless you pick mccombs or cockrell, then it will be a reach).

Really? I thought the fact that I was transfering from Blinn was bad. Isn’t the bio program difficult to get into?

Oh well, if i’m to get rejected there is always A&M.
