No news for @CoMoMom’s D either
Does anyone know when they will notify AES scholarship recipients? Some people said they would notify by the end of January but no one that I know of has received any notification.
I just got my email notification today through the UTD email account. I was admitted in early December
Which scholarship did u receive?
Unfortunately only the Achievement scholarship

My D got her notification on Friday also!

Where did you find out whether you got the scholarship or not?
@srivapau, I logged into my galaxy account and check under the “view financial aid” tab.
My D found it in Galaxy under financial aid and there was also an email in her UTD email account.
I got an email from my UTD account and it was under financial aid in the galaxy portal.
Thanks for the replies! I got it in the mail today anyways. I got the highest scholarship 
I received my acceptance today by email. But when I checked the Galaxy portal for scholarship it is showing nothing.
My stats are equivalent of distinction scholarship and also have tons of ECs. Did this happen to anyone else? How do I find out about my aid now
@HgHarsh The AES awards are not automatic. My son’s scores were on the high end of the Achievement scale and his friend scored a 35 on the ACT and neither received anything. As a result, both have ruled out UTD. On the other hand, there are numerous posts here from students who were pleasantly surprised by the level of their award.
There is obviously quite a bit of subjectivity involved with these awards; if they really want you then an offer will be made. It sounds like a week or two after receiving acceptance is the window within which most recipients report receiving notification, so keep checking the portal. Good luck!
It was over a month after my DD was admitted that her AES award showed up in Galaxy. Snail mail copy took another week after that, I believe.
I was admitted mid January and have been checking Galaxy. Under “View FInancial Aid” it has shown nothing until today. Now it shows 2016 as my aid year and no financial aid data available. Why does it say 2016 and does that mean I didn’t get a scholarship? I thought they didn’t notify the applicants that didn’t get one.
How many days do we have to accept the offer? If there is a lot of time then its safe but if quick reply is needed its a gamble as everyone said they take a lot of time for AES notification…
