UTD transfer for fall 2014

Currently a freshman enrolled at Texas State University. My university required me to send them my dual credits so that really screwed my GPA over because even though some of them were 4.0's in high school, they ended up as 3.0's for college.

So i'm sitting on a 2.81 GPA right now with 26 credits.
After my fall semester I will probably have a 3.21 (all A's, doing really well right now) with 39 credits.

I also have my spring semester at Texas State and will be taking summer school at a community college. I will be taking 15 hours for spring and 15 during the summer. So if I get all A's from those courses, I will have a 3.55. I'm positive that I can get all A's because I study my butt off now which I didn't in high school.

Also I'm an accounting major at Texas State and I want to switch to MIS (business) at UTD

I encourage you to make contact with UT Dallas Transfer Admission Counselors. It sounds like your best would be to apply after your fall 2013 grades are listed on your official transcript. However, without seeing your classes I cannot guarantee that is the best option.

UT Dallas will only consider classes/credit hours that are complete with a grade on an official transcript. When you apply you will need to turn in official transcripts from your dual credit in high school, Texas State official transcripts and official transcripts from any other school you attended. If you do not need your spring 2014 grades to get admitted, it is not worth the wait. The financial aid priority processing deadline for new fall 2014 students is March 29, 2014. In order to make that priority processing deadline you must be an admitted student to UT Dallas with ALL financial aid paperwork submitted to the UT Dallas Financial Aid office.

Another benefit would be the ability to apply for a Terry Transfer Scholarship. The Terry is the largest scholarship UT Dallas offers to transfer students.
Have you signed up for your spring 2014 classes at Texas State? UT Dallas Office of Admission and Enrollment Services offers transfer guides based on major. It will take the guess work out of course selection! Please pay special attention to the math requirement. It is in your best interest to complete as much of the requirement as possible as quickly as possible. The upper level School of Management classes require that students complete the math sequence before starting on Junior/Senior level classes.

I am college sophomore student at a community college. I plan to transfer to the University of Texas at Dallas in the fall of 2014 with an intention of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. At the end of the Spring 2014 semester, I shall be graduating with an Associate’s degree in Science.
Are there any specific major grants or scholarships for transfer students that I ought to be aware of? The new Terry Foundation Scholarship program has included a new ‘age’ criteria that prohibits me from applying to the program.
Your response shall be greatly appreciated.
