<p>Does anyone know a close, cheap place to live near or on campus?</p>
<p>I went to UTSA last year and I’m transferring to Austin this year.
On campus housing (U Oaks) is literally farther away from the actual school buildings
than many off campus apartments. All of the off campus apartments that offer shuttles to campus will get you to class in the SAME amount of time as it will take you to go from U Oaks to campus. Off campus housing is WAY nicer and cheaper.
I would actually recommend living at High View apartments across from 1604 and near La Cantera Mall. It’s absolutely beautiful. Only $524, $634, or $909 per month depending on if you get the 4 bed 4 bath, 2 bed 2 bath, or 1 bed 1 bath respectively. This week they’re offering to waive all deposit / administration fees. And actually, I’m giving up my lease there because I’m moving cities, and offering to pay 50% off the first month’s rent!
