I’m sick and I’ve been taking some weird cold meds all day - even if I get my decision this is going to be hard to believe, I think.
I got accepted as well!!!
Deferred. It sucks, but oh well. Probably due to my crappy grades second semester junior year.
I’m OOS, 3.95UW, 35 ACT.
Deferred-OOS 4.0/34
@whitespace lots of OOS going to get deferred!
@TheWaffleMan149 @emilyskates 3/3 PENN SQUAD GOT IN!! I FINALLY MADE IT
Accepted!
Accepted from Texas!
ALRIIIIIIIIIIIGHT @MijoChbulkan @emilyskates
@HRSMom Yeah, it does seem like a lot of OOS were deferred. But the early rate was around 33% so honestly it did take me a little by surprise. It’ll be interesting to hear the discussion at my Jefferson Scholars interview next week.
Wow, was not expecting results today. Accepted!!
@whitespace don’t let it throw you.
Son admitted. OOS. Was Jefferson Scholar nominee, but did not advance to the finals.
Do they reject EA or just defer all and deal with it later?
DD accepted OOS. Congrats to all who made it
@HRSMom I am 95% sure they reject EA
@HRSMom The email I got from the Jefferson Scholars organization included info about what would happen in case of a denial, so I would say that was a possibility in the EA round.
@flyingpig11 Has your son already had his regional interview? Do you mind if I ask how long it took for him to be notified after that he hadn’t moved on?
they do reject EA: OOS, 2290 SAT, 4.1 GPA
Did you get a denial?
denied, not surprised since I’m OOS. 34 act, 4.55 weighted gpa
I think UVA considers stats a lot less than other schools and puts way more emphasis on essays and ECs. That is how it seemed according to Dean J
