(Taking SATs again in December to get my math score in the 700s, which will therefore bump my overall score above 2000).
Hook: I am a female looking to major in computer science
ECs: no sports, but I have over 300 hours of community service. Member of best buddies, Latin club, and key club (publicist year 11, president year 12).
Awards: highest grade in the class in the field of technology (9th grade), silver medal in the etymology exam (10), gold medal in the etymology exam (11), junior book award (11), NHS (11 and 12)
Chances?</p>
<p>You meet their requirements but your SAT’s are in the bottom 25%. You have to be a top candidate for Computer Science in the School of Engineering but you might consider Computer Science in the School of Arts & Sciences. I think you should apply but you have a lot of competition and OOS hurts. Make sure you have safeties you would like to attend. You are a great student and will get in to lots of schools. <p>@OspreyCV22, we do not have admission “requirements” that must be met. There’s a reason chances posts don’t get much attention the UVa subforum. No one can predict admission based on a few pieces of information…not even me and I’m a Dean in the Office of Admission!</p>
