Hi, I was accepted Early Action and haven't registered for DOTL yet because I wasn't sure about which day I should select. I decided I want to attend on April 8 (it fits with my spring break plans), but when I logged in I saw that all of the Days on the Lawn events were full (except for March 25).

I was a bit surprised. What do people who are accepted RD do? Can they not attend DOTL events if they all fill up with early action admits?

Those types of questions are usually addressed on the Dean’s admissions blog. In a past year, they added some additional days once others were full.

I’d call and speak to admissions to find out how this works, however my best guess is with the exception of the first date reserved for ED candidates right now only a certain percentage of available space for each day was open for registration to leave room for RD students. Once the RD announcements are released the remainder of all spaces are open. You should try ASAP. They have added more dates in the past.

Keep in mind, I’m speculating here, but it wouldn’t make sense to open all slots prior to RD announcement and potentially lock out, or greatly limit availability to, entire dates to that group.

With the exception of March 25th, DOTL registration was capped so EAers didn’t fill all the slots before the RD process was done. The registration process will open up to everyone (EA and RD) again at some point after notification.
