<p>TB is one of the best young coaches in the country and a great fit for UVa. He recruits good character guys who can keep up with the academic side too. UVa fans might be able to enjoy basketball games again.</p>
<p>My boy was recruited by Leitao. Hopefully he still decides to stay at UVa amidst the change.</p>
<p>The more I hear, the more I like the hire. Though the administration definitely mismanaged (what else is new) the PR side by allowing fans to believe Tubby Smith or Capel was imminent, Bennett seems like a guy who definitely has a plan strategy wise and a great character to go along with it. I love the fact that he has turned down LSU, Marquette, and Indiana and chose to come here. In his announcement press conference, he showed more school spirit than Leitao did in three years. Seems like a winner.</p>
<p>czhao, if by “my boy” you mean Tristan Spurlock (seeing the Woodbridge, VA location), I really hope he sticks with his commitment. Bennett has already expressed his readiness to adapt his strategy to his players’ style of play; there is no reason for Spurlock (or any other current players/Evans) to have second thoughts</p>
