So I have finally activated my UVA computing ID a few days back, and now am doing my Housing App. (Am I super late or are there any other last minute person like me here?)

So where are YOU gonna stay this coming fall? :) And why do you choose it?

If we select regualr housing (single as first option , double as second) do we have to put 3rd 4th and 5th choices? Would we be guarentted to get regular housing so is there any need for supplemental apps if you jsut want regular housing?

Warning!!!!!!!!!
If you chose single you WILL end up in Hereford. I work for housing, I know.
Most first years do not enjoy being in hereford because it is very far away and less social.

I was stuck in a single room in the old dorms due to a roommate issue. The rooms aren't closet-sized. They are literally converted janitor closets, next to the stairwells, and outside the hallways. They are the worst possible rooms and UVA ought to be ashamed for using them. Not to mention my thermometer read over 100 degrees during the last two weeks of school.

o.O the warnings came too late right, after June 6th -__-

What if I chose Single room in IRC and 2nd choice is Hereford? Is it likely that I'll end up at Hereford too?? Yikes.

Also, there's no deadline for IRC right??? (I submitted my app already, very recently, but just checking since I don't see a deadline anywhere...)

"Please ensure that housing receives your completed application by the November 14 2007 priority deadline...." But then it does say something about a rolling basis, and now it's June 8, and I'm utterly confused. How was I supposed to apply as a first year?

Is it ok to select "double room" as your first choice, and then "no preference" as your second choice? ...cus that means i WILL be getting a double room, si?

but IF i dont get the double room, then i would get a single room, right? ..cus all of the other options required u to apply (which i didnt) and such

Brown selection results are up. Brown College on Monroe Hill About 50 first years get in so if you're in the first 20-25 on your list you have a good shot; dunno about upperclassmen though. Good luck if you applied!
