UVA Regular Decision Class of 2018

Also: @Dean J … you should release decisions this Thursday. If I get in, I’ll pick UVa to win my NCAA tournament bracket :)

I think it might be the 21st too! Hopefully we’ll hear back from them by the end of this week.

@BDM1994

Is the general consensus a 3/21 release date?

Sorry I read on one of Dean J’s post that she doesn’t want us to post statistics because every school is different.

I’m so nervous! I just want to know now!! ahhhh

@danhwkim I think they will but you never know. They have so many applicants!

@BDM1994

Ah I didn’t see that either, I’ll edit. It’s killing me hahah

The netbadge web page (where one checks admissions status) is not working this morning. I know it isn’t Friday, but I can’t help myself.

Never mind. I found a work around.

Wonder how many different people read our app.?

It probably matters how clear cut the case is.

THIS THREAD IS SO DRY HOW AM I THE ONLY ONE OBSESSIVELY CHECKING EVERYDAY

I am right there with you novafan!

@agg999 When I visited UVA over the summer, the admissions officer who ran my information session said that apps are initially read by 2 different adcoms. If they both reach the same conclusion on accept/waitlist(or defer for EA)/deny, that’s your result. If they disagree, your app goes to a larger committee that decides your result. Good luck everyone!

that’s a pretty good system to be honest! efficient and probably reasonably effective.

I assume both people would be certain regions, and would be familiar with them.

What do you like about UVA? I really loved the architecture

I really love the campus and location.

Did anyone read Dean J’s blog about RD notifications??? I’m still hoping friday!

Yeah BB, this Friday would really be awesome, fingers crossed

Has anyone received additional requests for additional financial aid documents by 3/27? I’m hoping it is a good sign…

Could someone chance me?

@taco13 I think the financial aid people and admission officers are seperate.

@tubbsofchicken I think you have a good shot. I think they will be able to look over your one errant grade. No one can give you a good prediction!
