Has anyone received financial package from UVA?
He did apply University of Miami and got accepted. But no merit aid. Cost of Miami vs. UCF Burnett Honors (full scholarship) is very wide. It will come down to Miami and UCF Barnett.
Our son was ranked about 100 out of 650. But he only started at his HS his sophomore year. Thus he was somehow penalized. We did not find out until Spring. But a weighted GPA of 4.4, 34 ACT, 400 hours plus CC, sports, children’s hospital internship, etc - we thought he had a very good chance. We did never visit Gainesville though as it was his backup to Virginia, JH, and Miami (all visited).
