Current student at U of South Carolina. Finance major.
Applying to LSA for econ at Michigan and econ at UVa in the college of arts and sciences.
HS: 3.0UW gpa with upward trend (2.6, 2.9, 3.5, 3.7)
31 ACT (33E, 27M, 32R, 33S)
College: 3.8 gpa, involved in a couple major related clubs and intramurals.
Do I have a shot or will I have to reapply as a junior transfer?
I’d say you have a solid shot if you’re a Va resident.

@va2pittsburgh from MA. The gpa was after one semester btw
I would give it a shot assuming there are financial considerations that make you not want to (in which case I would hope fee waivers would help).

I am no expert for transfer admissions (or very informed about them at all), but I think your HS GPA would not be that important, particularly in comparison to your College GPA.
