Which would provide an overall better experience, Marshall or McIntire? There just so different and I’m having trouble deciding. What are some pros and cons of each and which provides a better education?
Would one of them be in-state for you?
USC is a private university so instate is irrelevant unless you are referring to proximity to home.
No they are both out of state. UVA is just a lot closer.
FYI: Of course they are both OOS for you as a matter of fact, but in college admissions lingo OOS is a term used to designate public school situations since the tuition is different for in-state vs. OOS. USC, being private, charges the same amount whether you are from California, Maine, or Cameroon So for the purposes of cost, it makes a difference for UVA if you are a Virginia resident or not, while for USC it matters not what state you are from.
^ UVA does meet need for OOS, though, and is known for providing more generous financial aid than USC.
Have you tried the net price calc for each school? I’m sure both schools will provide you with excellent opportunities. It comes down to how much you have to pay, and if that’s not a concern, then preference.
