I applied VIP to UVM and I found out I was admitted in January and recieved a letter at the end of January with a scholarship offer of $6000 a year. My GPA is about 3.9 (I've taken about 7 AP/IB/DE classes throughout highschool) and I had an 1880 on my SATS. I've emailed UVM and they've said Honors College acceptances are sent out by mid-March. Is there a good chance I'll get in? Do you know the stats of students who have been admitted to UVM's Honor College or how much of a scholarship they recieved? Also, I'm from Virginia so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the scholarship amount.

You will probably get into the honors program because of your GPA, however if you don’t don’t worry. You will have another chance later. My girls got in in their sophomore year, after 2 solid semesters with high grades. They feel the honors college is no big deal unless you plan on going to a graduate program. It requires writing a thesis, which is a big commitment. One stayed in, as she wants to apply to dental school. One daughter dropped out, as she was in the business school and automatically was accepted into a five year program to get her masters. (She didn’t need to apply)

Okay, great, thank you :)
