@akoopa44 Unofficial transcript loading is a sign of getting in. I’ve never heard of anyone getting rejected after having it show up.

Hi, I applied for Computer-Science.
My GPA was 3.98 when I applied and it will be 3.99 after this spring quarter.
Has anyone heard from department yet?
From what saw on the transfer thread of previous years, people were talking about their unofficial transcript load on their UW accounts, but as for CS-major, we didn’t have to apply separately for the department. So I was wondering if we would get decision from general admission before the department or not. So we could check our decision earlier by checking transcript page than by the mail.

@RashIn I applied for CS major and I still haven’t heard anything back yet. I check my portal at least 3 times a day and always have my email open but I haven’t seen anything yet! I wish they would give transfers a quicker response because I have two other universities lined up as plan b and c and they need my decision soon… I also am a Washington state resident but I am transferring from a 4 year university in Colorado.
@RashIn @stephh939 I think we need to wait until we submit our grades for last quarter.(Especially for CC students, they need to review the final grades)
But for students from four-year university, I have no idea. It should be different situations.
@SmartestHusky That is not true. I visited UW and met both CS faculty and general admission adviser, I asked if I could resubmit my transcript after finishing winter and spring quarter. They said No. They only see the grade up to fall quarter that was when we submitted our application (which was during winter)
You are submitting final grade after u get accepted by CS department, because they have to transfer all our credits into UW account.
@gubase Many students at our CC was doing JAVAI during fall… And we have JAVA up to three. They must need to review the data structure course grade to evaluate a student. The UW official website says it is good to have winter grade. Also, some students got accepted have their spring grades submitted as far as I know.
@smartesthusky They ask for updated transcript only if you are missing “prerequisite courses” on your transcript. Maybe that is why. Other than that, I don’t think you can just resubmit only because you want to.
In my situation, I want to update my new transcript because I had better GPA after winter, and even better after this spring. However, adviser told me that I can’t resubmit just because of that unless they require it.
In addition, I actually remembered that when I sent my transcript, I only finished up to calculus 2, but prerequisite for Computer Science is up to Calculus 4. So I asked “will they ask for my new transcript? because I am missing prerequisite course grades on my transcript when they see”
She said “No, they will just average out your prerequisite grades, and expect you to get that grade in your following courses.” “We also expect nearly perfect grades from college transfer students”.
So I think, even if you are missing prerequisite courses, they might not ask you for new transcript.
We will see though, I hope they ask for the updated transcript though because it will be better for me as well.
I submitted my updated transcript after my last quarter ended regardless of what UW wants because I knew they were gonna ask about my math. Turns out sending in my updated transcript saved me a lot of added stress. So do what you want with the updated transcript. I didn’t know at the time you weren’t supposed to, but honestly who cares! If you wanna send it in before they ask, do it!
@julietjuju3 really? then quick question, how do u know if they accepted new transcript or just threw it away? just curious lol
