Is living in a community that big of a deal? I originally signed up to live in the engineering community.

My choices were 1. McCarty 2. McMahon 3. Stevens Court 4. Haggett

I just want to live in a comfortable dorm, with normal beds. None of that weird, elevated, desk under your bed
crap. Which place has the best rooms? Is it better to stay in a community? Thanks.

i’m wondering the same. I’m thinking about joining the engineering community if i go here.

Im not a student there, but I know a lot of people and i visit a lot and from what ive seen/heard…

McCarty-I have a friend there (engineering) he is a freshman now and as far as i know he loves it, its kinda far from the ave, but its really close to a bunch of the classrooms/lecture halls and stuff

McMahon/Hagget- not a lot of freshmen, i have one friend in Hagget and it looks like a prison on the inside, but its in a good location, as far as the engineerin community goes i don’t know bout it

Stevens Court- i know nothing about

but most of the freshmen end up in terry/lander or mercer. hope this helps at all

^
i heave heard multiple times that mercer was for losers hahah

yeah ask anyone and they will tell you to stay the hell away from mercer. i’ve never been there, and don’t plan on it based upon what i’ve heard. idk maybe some who have actually lived there know it differently?

Your four choices are the best options imo. in terms of living arrangements i would favor stevens court but it’s kind of not located in the best spot.
