Hello All!

I just thought I'd get this thread started considering that UW Natives should be receiving decisions on May 9th. I know that in recent years for Autumn 2012 and 2013, some transfer students began hearing back the same time as UW Natives! Let's hope that is the case this time around, because I don't know about you, but I'm TIRED of waiting [-O<

Feel free to use this thread for any questions/answers that you may have about the Foster application such as, tips, tricks, etc..
If you hear anything back from Foster, please post! Even posting rejections can give prospective students a better idea of how competitive the application process is.

When posting your decision, please list the following:
-Decision: Accepted/Rejected
-Applicant Status: UW Native/CC Transfer/University Transfer
-Major Option: Accounting, Human Resource Management, OSM, Finance, Gen. Management, etc.
-Stats: Combined GPA, Pre-App GPA, WSA Score. (use the format with decision letter: Applicants/Admitted/Your Factors)
-Anything else you deem necessary.

I hope this thread will ease the pain of waiting a little. Best of luck to us all!

Just a heads up, but I heard through the grape vine that students at the UW (admitted and rejected) received their letters on May 5th. The admitted statistics were as follows: Combined GPA=3.57, Pre-application GPA=3.65, and WSA Score=4.09

If your application is denied, can you make an appeal?? Please advise me

@mochiman24 Thanks for the heads up! This should mean that a good amount of transfer students should be hearing back somewhere around the 13th-15th. At least, that was the case for some transfers in the 2012 thread and my friend who got accepted last year. I guess one good thing is that the WSA scores seems relatively lower than in recent years.

Hopefully we can start getting some more updates here soon :]

@Lovemor I’m not too sure if there is an appeal process. I would assume that if there were one, it would be outlined in the Foster SOB website, but I haven’t seen anything in regards to such. You could contact a counselor from Foster, however, my best guess is that they would just advise you to apply again for the next admissions cycle (considering how competitive it is to get into the school making an appeal even more out-of-reach.)

So I haven’t received any official decision yet. But my unofficial transcript just loaded and it lists me in the Business School under the major option I chose! Hopefully we hear something official soon :] I’m a transfer student btw.
