UW Madison, Northwestern, UChicago

Incoming senior. Caucasian. 17 years old. Green Bay, Wisconsin.

GPA: 3.986. Our school does not do the weighted GPA system, however, I would suppose my WGPA would be around 4.1.
Class Rank: 20ish. I received one B back in freshman year. It was an art class.
My classes are typically upper level. Freshman and sophomore years were filled with mediocre/advanced courses. Next year, however, all my classes are advanced (with the exception of geography, we don't have AP geo) and as for AP courses next year: Chemistry, Calculus, Language, and Statistics. Also taking General and Advanced Anatomy and Physiology.

I opted NOT to take anymore AP courses due to my intense interest in Biology/Anatomy. I would rather play to my interests/strengths than to impress a college with another bland AP course. The anatomy class at the school is actually quite difficult.

ACT: 30 the first time. 31 the second time. 32 if you combine the best scores
PSAT: 202. I got a letter back in April stating I was one of top 50,000 scorers in the nation. There were six other students in my grade who also were among the top 50,000. Among those six, my score was the lowest, however, the highest (from what I gathered) was somewhere around 215.

AP Tests:
Psychology: 4
US History: 5
Physics: 3 (I would attribute my score, at least partially, to my teacher. It was his first year teaching AP and did not conform to the recommended curriculum for the AP Physics course: he taught it like his regular physics class. In which case we went too slowly and never even talked about two subjects on the test and barely covered a few more.)

My ec's are varied and probably appear very laundry listish. nothing spectacular.
Math Team
Science Academic Team
Political Awareness Club vice president
Tennis Team (never quite made it to varsity)
Musical Backstage Crew
I took the state math test twice and qualified for the AMC both times
I may have had a few others, but I forgot them and are not worth mentioning.

My ec's do not represent my interests very well. I enjoy math, sure. I enjoy tennis, sure. The other's don't mean much to me. I enjoy politics, but not current events as much. I enjoy the philosophy of politics more, which really isn't discussed much in that club.

My interests other than school include going out with friends, chilling at home. reading, or just generally doing whatever I feel like doing on a particular day. I'm laid back, and quite an ordinary guy. I'm not spectacular at much.

I would like to go to UW-Madison, however, if I have any chance at the other two listed, I will check them out as well. I plan on majoring in biology, with a minor in another interest of mine (Chemistry, Philosophy, Math) with hopes of either going to med school or becoming a pharmacist.

I don't really see any biology related activities even though you said you were intensely interested in that. This may count against you so maybe try to steer your app that way somehow or write an essay about it.

We have no biology related club at our school. The closest I could get was the Science academic team. Much of my time devoted to bio is on my own time. I could have probably found something outside of school to join, but it's too late now. Ahh well. What's done is done!

Oh yeah. I have a part time job at a Credit Union. Again, not playing to my interests, but further establishes that I don't just sit at home all the time.

Ohp, also a member of National Honors Society. My class rank is 20ish/500ish.

I would say you have a pretty good chance at those places.

I think the fact that you have distinct academic interests that you pursue in your own time makes up for the fact that your list of EC's isn't five miles long (nor need it be).
