I'm an undergraduate freshman right now and I wanted to know what's the average GPA to enter the Nursing school at UW. I know it's super competitive, I think my advisor said 3.4 to even be considered. Also what's the admission process like? I know you have to write 2 essays, have 1 letter of recommendation, and have some clinical experience. Would clinical experience mean having an actual job in a hospital? I have a volunteer position in the emergency room right now. Does that count? I want to work at Haborview in the trauma center and I'm thinking graduating from UW Nursing school would be a HUGE advantage seeing that it's their hospital. It's also one of the best trauma center in the west coast. So i really can't think of a better place to work at.

thanks for your help!
