How is a school added to the subforums on the CC MT board? I attend the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and thought that I would attempt to get one started for us.

To quote Collegemom when the same question was asked about creating a Temple sub forum…

"Despite misconceptions, the list of MT college programs at the top of the MT Forum is NOT a list of ALL MT programs, nor a list of BEST MT programs, nor a list of RECOMMENDED MT programs. Rather, there IS a list of ALL MT college programs called The Big List which is linked to in one of the permanent threads at the top of this forum.

The MT college program sub forums at the top of the MT Forum are just some programs that CC set up separate forums for to organize existing threads on the MT Forum. If a program has had several discussions on CC, a sub forum was created to keep those threads together in one place. However, CC doesn’t create sub forums for every program. Over time, if there are enough threads and discussion about a program, then CC may set up a sub forum to keep all those threads in one organized place.

Every so often the CC administrators seem to go in and organize threads and create new sub forums. Until that time people usually keep posting on the general forum making sure to always include the name of the school in the thread title." quoted from: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/musical-theater-major/588940-temple-university-musical-theatre-emphasis.html?highlight=temple post #6

Glad to have someone from Stevens Point posting on the forum! It looks like you have been a CC member for a while… looking forward to hearing more about your experiences! :)

Stevens Point is one of my top schools

I accidentally put the end quotes in the wrong place in my post above. Collegemom’s quote should have ended at “… One organized place.” sorry!

Thanks very much, KatMT!

Alrighty. Well, if anyone prospective MT/Acting Majors out there are looking for an quality MT program, please feel free to post your questions or PM me and I will do my best to help you out. I really feel like the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point is a “diamond in the rough” theatre and dance program. I’ll do all I can to get the word out!

Awh. UW - Stevens Point seems like a fantastic program. At the MT intensive I attended this summer, we got the opportunity to work with Tim Howard… his masterclass contributed to the most amazing experience of my life.
