I got an email saying I need to send my Spring transcript from CC to them. I finished about 95 credits so I don’t see how the last couple of classes would be that necessary in judging my application but I sent it off. This is so late in the game and it’s plain irritating. I have a summer vacation planned as well and I don’t want to have to worry about this while I’m gone, or worry if I can’t attend an orientation or something. If I don’t hear anything before the end of the first week of August, before my trip, I will just forget all about it because this is just dumb, I need to plan for things. I applied for an open major btw.

@Lalalollie It is common for the UW to ask for your final transcript. I actually think that is good news. Were you taking a course that quarter that filled one of the area of study requirements, or perhaps a CADR? Even if they weren’t, I still think they will ask for it.
I have both Spring and Summer courses that the UW will need a final transcript for. One has an area of study class (Natural Sciences and I got an A) and two were CADR related (Lit + Spanish II which are not over yet).

@CallMeADawg Yeah I finished my AA in Spring quarter so I guess that is a defining factor for them, they were electives besides a math class that probably was the issue. How will it work if you wanna get in for Autumn but the summer quarter ends late? That’s what so confusing, people say it’s hard to get into and this n that, so it’s confusing to see just a class or two that gets in the way. Like you said, they must be super serious about CADRs and making sure you passed.
Luckily, Summer Quarter at BC ends well before Autumn begins. I should have about a month between them. So as soon as my grades post for the quarter, I am going to send off my transcripts; unless of course, they send me a rejection letter. I have heard that people get a contingent offer from the UW that is contingent on you passing the classes you said you were taking, and sending them updated transcripts that show you did.
I have not heard of them witholding an acceptance or a denial based on you having classes in progress. I have also not heard if the transcript trick even works for contingent offers. It is all very confusing but at the end of the day, we have to deal with this in order to get our chance to get in.
CADR’s are a non-negotiable thing for the UW. If you are missing them, and dont have a plan they will reject you without any real review. If you have a plan (i.e. taking them in spring or summer) you are golden from a CADR perspective. Thinking it through more, I think you are going to be accepted. Why else would they be confirming the math class? If they wanted to reject you, there is no reason to ask you to send more transcripts.
@CallMeADawg I do hope you’re right, and that makes sense. but I guess there’s more waiting to go. Going to UW would save me money than WWU so…I’ve not had anything on my transcript load either. I take it nothing on yours either

@Lalalollie no changes on my transcript or application status. No response yet from the program director. I am hoping to know soon. If I somehow get rejected, I don’t have a solid plan B.
Still waiting on Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. I feel like admissions for this year have been 1 to 2 weeks behind as compared to last year.
