@Grey007 It is really not that comforting, my brother was rejected from UW seattle last year with a 3.92 G.P.A and strong personal statement. He also had tutoring experience for approximately a year and he worked on a robotic project. His instructors and counselors were surprised when they heard he was rejected and with hope he wrote the appealing process. They still rejected him though. I mean it took like a day to just reply, two of the dean’s wrote him letters. I do not though, I just thought to share it.
@aabdin03 your friend was from a community college right? Damn it is too hard…
Btw, how did he know he had a strong personal statement?
@thaipq yes, he was a community college student. he was helped by school advisor, the writing center and 2 of schools dean. They drafted and redrafted it for him. And because of the extra curriculum he mentioned and his early interest in computers, he was told it was very strong personal statement. He also discussed it with UW Seattle advisor although she said she cannot read it but he could tell her what he included in it.
Just checked my Unofficial UW transcript this morning and it loads listing class standing as Junior and major as computer engineering. Good luck to everyone else!
