I have been admitted into both UW and UIUC and I picked UW. However UCSB which is on my waitlist offered me a place.

I applied as a CA resident but im basically international since I went to a boarding school in California. I really have difficultly choosing, UW seems to have better prestige, and I have heard UW has great professors, while UCSB is also a wonderful university. Both places have great weather. (Im indifferent to the rain in seattle)

I probably would major in business, but my options are open.

Any unbiased advice is appreciated.

Thank you

Good luck getting unbiased advice while posting in the UCSB forums. Nevertheless, UCSB > UW

UCSB is ranked higher (although not by much) than UW. So you can’t say UW has more prestige. If you want to go to a more prestigious school, I say choose UCSB. Now I’ve never been to UW so I don’t know if it is a better campus/area than UCSB, but I suggest you visit both if possible. If not, all I can say is UCSB in my opinion would offer you a better college experience (this may be a bit biased since I am going to UCSB, but it’s not all bias). I don’t know what UW is like for business, but I know UCSB has good ecnomics program if that’s what you’re interested in.
