@200pants My transcript says, “Junior”,“Business school” and “Bus Admin (Entrepreneur)” My mail just came and no letter :((

@Puw2014
Same here! :(( The wait drags on… Hopefully Wednesday will be the day!

@200pants Do you remember on the UW application if the major option was just “Business administration” or did it also include the concentration i.e. finance, accounting? I know this was on the Foster application. If this was only on the Foster app then that would mean that Foster has started our transcripts. IDK just an idea, trying to keep positive!

@Puw2014 Thankfully I saved the PDF of my UW application. I just checked it and it out and it looks like I only entered Business Administration for my major which would suggest that Foster has had some impact on our transcripts. I don’t want to jump to any conclusions, but I think it is favorable that we are listed in the Business School and in our specific major/option. Most people I have talked to think it’s a sign of acceptance. Otherwise, it would say “Pre Social Science” or something like that. I just want my stinkin letter though!

@puw2014 @200pants I talked to an uw adviser and she said, “don’t tell anyone I told you, but you were accepted.” Also, my letter didn’t come as well.

@SPECtatin congrats! Did you get accepted to foster, uw, or both?

??? i was implying our transcripts meant we were in foster

@SPECtatiN So you think we are all accepted to Foster based on our transcripts??? Any clue as to when our mail will arrive?

yes. I don’t know. we’re probably going to miss priority registration date on the 14th anyway

@SPECtatiN Thanks for sharing, and congrats on the news! A friend of mine who got accepted last year said he got his letter before priority registration. Hopefully our letters are coming soon!

@Cass24 Hi welcome to the thread! I too am an out of state transfer, currently going to school in California and living in Hawaii. No letter or activity on my transcript page. I am just hoping that they accept in state, community college applicants first and then the out of state ones. Out of state transferring is very difficult at UW, as I’m sure you have already heard by now. Yet no one on this thread has mentioned being an out of state student and being accepted. There have been a couple of out of state applicants who were denied though. Luckily we are not in that group as out of state students. Perhaps there is still some hope left. I called to ask an admissions counsellor when they would start sending out letters and he said from Thanksgiving to the beginning of December. Although some people have already received letters, I am assuming that the admissions counsellor is expecting notifications to go out as late as Thanksgiving to December. I am not sure if he is implying that rejections will go out around there because in looking at past trends, it has been noted that acceptances go out before rejections, so there is that too. I was looking at a past thread and did notice that an out of state transfer who got accepted was accepted much later than the rest of the in state applicants. Maybe there is still hope for us. Good luck!

Are there any other in-state transfer applicants out there? If so, have any of you received a change in your transcript?

@socalsea I’m still waiting for something to happen. I’m pretty sure I didn’t get in. Going to apply next month for fall 2014 if I get rejected this winter.

2015*

@UWchancemeh man… this sucks! Maybe there’s still hope? I’m not so sure anymore :(

@socalsea This is my second transfer application. So I don’t feel too good about it either.

@socalsea

There’s still a chance.
The people that recieved their letter need to respond by the 19th; therefore, the next batch should come out around the 20th. With that being said, its most likely going to be rejections.
You should try for Fall 2015, I know a couple OOS transfers that got in after 2-3 attempts!

I do think there is still hope for us out of state students, I know for me at least I just had to meet the basic requirements and I do that, plus I had a very god essay and application. Good luck to you! I know if I don’t get in for winter though I do plan on trying to transfer into UW again, so we’ll see, can’t loose hope yet though!!

also I know for me that when UW does mail out a letter I won’t get it till about a week and a half later because of how the mail works, unless they rush it, so I’m not sure how it’s going to work.

@justin3co

Are you an OOS applicant?
This is my second time applying too UW including my senior year.
