What do most of you get when you try to open your unofficial transcript? Do you get an error as well?

@Andielle Yep!

@Andielle I have 2 A.A.S’s from Seattle Central CC my GPA was 3.96. My application was complete. I applied to be an art major. My personal statement was edited by 5 professors (3 from UW). At least I’m not wondering anymore.

@timmyd345 If what you’re saying is 100% accurate then UWs system is flawed. You’re the ideal candidate that UW is searching for when accepting transfer applicants, completed AA, in-state, stellar GPA, and stellar personal statement. You have everything that they seek in a transfer applicant; therefore, I would write an appeal if I were you.

@UWchancemeh Thank you but theres no need for me to appeal. I only want a B.A. so I can teach my craft later down the road. UW’s art program looked cool but there’s others out there. I have a good portfolio and pieces in gallery’s now so I’m not to worried about it. I was hesitant to post my stats because I didn’t want to scare anyone. Don’t let my story freak you out they look at everyone differently. Best of luck to everyone!!!

@timmyd345 Good luck in your future endeavors! I also think UW made a mistake, but seems you have your future planned out well. Best of luck!

Eeeek, the week where unofficial transcripts being to load has finally come…best of luck to everyone.

Begin*

Ahh checking everyday. Sad how it could still be a couple of months before we find out…

Does anybody know how UW selects who is in what batch? Like is it based on number of credits or? Also, when calculating your GPA for admission, do they calculate your general GPA or just the GPA of the classes that transfer?

@Andielle

I agree. I’ve been refreshing the unofficial transcript every 30 minutes I think a few more days are still needed until the first one loads.
From looking at the previous transfer threads, it seems like most acceptances are sent out during the earlier half of November. I honestly think they do it based on whichever application they happen to get to first; it doesn’t necessarily seem like an AA student beats out a student with 45 credits if you look at the previous trends. The denials and acceptances of both applicant(s) seem to be about 50/50. I do however believe that your essay + pre requisites play a huge role in your acceptance!
I’m sure they look at your GPA as a whole (cumulative) and I KNOW for a fact that they compile your classes focused towards your major and take that GPA as well. I heard that if even if your cum GPA isn’t the highest, if your pre requisite GPA is high then you have a good chance of being accepted.

Wow the MyUW website is SUPER slow today. I guess everybody is trying the transcript trick.

@whitechiner really? It’s been working perfectly fine for me. good luckkk :))

@whitechiner It hasn’t been slow for me either!

Just out of curiosity, how many of you are planning on living in the dorms? I plan on renting an apartment!

Got my rejection letter. Very nicely written.

@whitechiner

Dang…
You would’ve made it if you were in-state, no doubt!
Best of luck to you, I hope you continue to chase your dreams and succeed in whatever you do.

Did the message on your UW NetID change? (When you click on Transfer Application: Winter Quarter 2015)

I’m SO nervous! :-S So many good candidates being rejected!! Do they tell you why in the letters?

@Husky1995
I know!
No, they don’t tell you why you were rejected.
I heard they actually tell you if you call and ask, but I’m not sure how true that is.
I think Whitechiner would’ve gotten in if he were an in-state transfer. UW accepts only 5-10% of its OOS transfers, so odds were against him :(

Still have a blank unofficial transcript page :/
