UWC Applicants for the 2013 school year!

Monday the 12th

@v00jin My birthday was yesterday, the 9th, but thanks for thinking of me anyways :)

I’m going to go with Tuesday the 13th

I think StuffzHappenin’ mentioned this earlier… but Rotary Youth Exchange is a really great alternative. I did it my sophomore year of high school and gained fluency in Thai. Rotary opens a lot of doors!

My guess is Thursday the 15th!

according to Nepal national committee forms will be available after 14th only.
hey! Is there someone other than me from Nepal who has joined this thread?

@aherrle1: I looked into that as well but wouldn’t we have to turn down one for the other? Wouldn’t that be jerky?

hey everyone! wow i didn’t know UWC would be such a huge topic on this forum.
I’m applying this year from canada :)! And our application’s already up, so I was wondering about scholarships because i know that pearson gives a full scholarship but what about the other uwc’s?

Application for US is up!! 7 essays…wow!

Good luck to everyone!

Good luck to everyone! Hope having to write seven essays isn’t as bad as it sounds for you guys :)

Good luck to everyone whose applications are already up. Mine is not. :)

yay application  oh and lindzmm - imaginary cookies for you! nice guess!

and now I get obsessive over details… “Should I put ‘college’ or ‘N/A’ for my sister, who’s working on her Ph.D.? Do I put English or Russian as my first language if I learned them at the same time?”

I kid. But still. Erg. Agh. Specifics.

@DinoGiraffe I think that the other UWC’s have some slots for financial aid but the majority of scholarships come from your national committee-which in your case is Canada.

@lunascreatures mmm, cookies are my FAVORITE! :)

@Stuffzhappenin thanks :slight_smile: i’ll look into that!!
good luck everyone

@dinogiraffe: Pearson gives full scholarship to its students. Some national committees are more generous with financial aid than others. I know AC is quite reasonable with its financial aid as well, but I think most of it extends to direct applicants. Your best bet would be getting the scholarship through your national committee. I don’t know how generous Canada is, sorry!

@littleivy thank you! i love this thread, it’s so informative!!
are you guys applying this year as well?

Good luck to everyone! :)

Wait… Is the American application up for y’all???
