@coexistxx: the American application is up!

So i started my UWC-USA online application but I went back to the website later and the link to get to the online application is gone, how do I get back and continue the app i already started??

@criver and coexistxx
I had the same problem - unfortunately, it was when I was in my counselor’s office talking about it and I couldn’t pull up the website. It’s still up, but the link has moved.
try this:
<a href=“404 - Enrollment”>404 - Enrollment;

if it doesn’t work (it might not, since you’re getting there from here!), go to the UWC-USA website, go to application process, then US Applicants, then down on the timeline click the SECOND “online application” link. The first takes you to the Apply Online section of the uwc website, which doesn’t have the link anymore, but the SECOND ONE (I repeat - the second one) is correct.

I had to call my dad and ask where it went, and luckily he found it. Also luckily my counselor was talking to someone else in my moment of WHERE DID IT GOOO

also, after you find it, bookmark it in case the links move again :)

so who’s started the essays? I have all the topics pasted into a document, and I’m planning a couple of them, but I can’t get myself to just write. It’s fewer words than a single day of NaNoWriMo but oh so much harder…

I’m so excited for everyone who’s interested in applying to UWC! I was going to apply in my 10th year of high school (i’m also born later in the year) but then there was some complications with my national committee, because I’m currently (and was) an international student, I couldn’t apply through my national committee. Anyway, there’s more to the story but I ended up staying at my current international school. I have a friend who got that year though (2011)! I’m a senior now and she attended UWC in her junior year – she’s really loving it. The community is so amazing and the philosophy behind the school is impeccable. For anyone who’s really interested in a multicultural learning environment, UWC is the place for you! I can’t go into too much detail because I don’t go there, but I’ve met some of the people that do, it’s such an amazing school.

Although, I never had the problem of being “homesick” because I’ve been overseas and at an international school for my entire high school period, but for those who are worried about that: dont! UWC is a once in a lifetime opportunity – and it’s only for two years! Throughout the process, the independence the school requires of its students will really help the students be prepared for college. (and because of it’s growing popularity and it’s extreme selectivity, not all who want to go can get in).

But to everyone who’s interested and applying: best of luck! I hope for anyone who decides on going, you’ll find yourself loving everyone a UWC can provide it’s student :)

Hey guys, I just wanted to wish everyone in the US a happy thanksgiving tomorrow and even if you don’t live here, there’s never a bad time to reflect on what you’re thankful for
Also, good luck to everyone with the whole application process!

It’s been almost two weeks and I haven’t heard from my national committee yet on the interviews. They said that they would inform us on the results in about a week and a half, but I think I probably didn’t make it. I can’t wait for the e-mail but at the same time I’m really scared :/

@lindzmm thank you, and a late happy thanksgiving to you!
@fruitloopery good luck good luck good luck! It can’t be more than a week more to wait, I really hope you made it!

They replied! I GOT AN INTERVIEW! I just hope the internet would be fast enough to skype.

@fruitloopery yaaaay! congratulations! best of luck on the interview :)

Congrats, fruitloopery! :D

Congratulations!!! I hope it goes well! My elder sister did a Skype interview for a school, you just have to hope the connection stays good Good luck!

Congratulations, Fruitloopery! I hope you get in. I think your international experience would make you a great UWC student. You would be able to easily empathize with students from different cultures and you would be able to help others see different perspectives. Good luck on your interview!

@fruitloopery Congrats!! That’s so exciting and good luck! I’m sure you will do great! :)

@windowpainting16 I know you said it was all juniors accepted last year, but were there any sophomore? It would make me feel better to know that even one was accepted. I guess I’m just hoping they don’t completely weed out the sophomores even though it says they don’t give preference.

Thanks everyone! You guys are so encouraging. Good luck with your applications and I hope to meet some of you at UWC (if we get in)! :)

@fruitloopery CONGRAAAAAATS
omg how come your interviews are so early?
our app deadline here in canada is like feb and the interviews are in springtime i think!

Hi! I’m from Singapore and I just got the interview! I’m excited but very nervous at the same time too. I’m so afraid of the other outstanding students with their incredible EC’s and academic records

Is anyone from Singapore going for the interview too? Also, anyone else who got the interview, how did it go! :)

Haha, I’m so scared! :(

@dinogiraffe its cause my national committee just happens to start earlier. The application was released in August I think? And due to be submitted in November. We also have more stages to go through, two interviews and one group interview that is an overnight camp. Other countries only have one interview, right? The process takes longer here so I guess it would have to start earlier. We also only know for sure in April (after all those tedious interviews).
