UWC applicants year 2014

Hey everyone! I have rad tons of blogs, most of them in English. And I also used translate for others. (The nights when I stay up too late in order to be able to read blogs are very memorable :smiley: )I remember most of them and I’ll post the links for all of them on Saturday or Sunday. Excuse me for not doing it right now but I really don’t have time. I am busy with a chemistry competition. Is here anyone who likes chemistry? :)

@MediDuet I love any type of science! Right now I’m taking chem so it’s my favorite subject this year

@Mediduet good luck with your competition!!!
I hope all of you guys start blogs when you get in so I can read.

@Santoast13, me too. I love all the sciences (geography not so much) and I also love maths. My favourites are biology and chemistry, I can’t decide between these two.

@mediduet I love chemistry as well :slight_smile: do you have any good Maastricht or Adriatic or RCN blogs?
@okp1000 thanks for being optimistic :stuck_out_tongue: I hope we all can!

So today instead of submitting my overdue History paper, I spent all my time reading blogs on MUWCI, and I don’t even care, I love it so much. Anyone have any more?

@MediDuet yep that’s me too :slight_smile: if I don’t get into uwc I’m planning on doubling up on sciences. next year I want to take anatomy and AP biology (I would have to because anatomy isnt AP and it would lower my GPA :frowning: )

@okp1000, thank you so much! Finally we managed to finish it today. It is due to today until midnight and our gruop uploaded it at 10.15 pm (at school) and we left the school after that. Probably the longest ever stay in school for all of us. :slight_smile: Now comes the waiting until 3rd December when we get the results. :slight_smile:
@lalalarae, it is so nice to ‘meet’ with people who love chemistry and don’t consider you crazy for loving that subject. :slight_smile: I have some Ardiatic and RCN blogs but I have to find the links. I promise I’ll post them soon.
@Santoast13, my plans are similar. If I don’t get in then I am going to study HL biology and HL chemistry. Unfortunately we don’t have anatomy as a subject here at secondary schools.

So here are a few links to blogs. Most of these are not in English but you can translate them. I am working on collecting links to blogs in English. :slight_smile:

@MediDuet, you are a star!

Hey guys! The time is getting closer - Are you excited for the selection progress? And just a biiit nervous? :wink:
I hope you’re doing well - At AD we are doing this years EE-show on this friday so everything is a bit hectic but it’s nice!

Maybe I’ll meet some of you next year!

Hi tecz77!
Very late answer but I think it’s a very good question.
For me, I really love being integrated with the village, Duino. People are very sweet (despite all the rumours) and we get cheap pizza!
But I am sure that even though the school integrated into a village, it will still be an experience for life. RCN is very very seperated from everything but they still have a great time.
Don’t think so much about it, the only bad thing is that it’s hard to go shopping!

@farmgirlmoo, lol, thank you! :D

@MediDuet thank you so much!! You’re amazinnng I actually can’t believe everyone else searches blogs as well?!! I seriously thought I was the only one (sad enough to) heh heh

@Hedwig8, you are welcome. I am always happy to help. Reading blogs and reading the websites of all UWC colleges was the thing that helped me ‘survive’ because I was so obsessed with the whole movement. I literally spent almost all of my freetime reading searcing about UWC. I am still so obsessed or even more but doing my application takes a lot of time and it is a step closer (or probably a personal experience) and I am very happy for that. :)

@MediDuet, yeah THANKS SO MUCH! I too am obsessed and spend most of my time reading their blogs, or watching all the different videos on youtube. I even spent like 40 minutes watching some MUWCI dance thing lol.

By the way, does anyone know when the apps for MUWCI are out? Is it November 25th?

@MediDuet thank you!!!

@RipCity14, you are welcome! I do the same, watching videos on youtube. I have never been at any of the UWCs but I could navigate at almost all of them. :slight_smile: But of course not near as well as those who live there.
Let me ask you a question, are you only applying to MUWCI and you aren’t applying to other UWCs?
@okp1000, you are welcome! :)

@MediDuet, yeah I’m Indian so I would very much prefer to join MUWCI. And I also have a couple good friends there and from what I’ve seen the campus is the most beautiful and I’m very keen on working in my own community. And I thought we weren’t allowed to apply to multiple UWCs.
