UWC applicants year 2014

@lalalarae, which blog was that? I follow two blogs neither have been updated recently and I don’t remember reading about this.

I found this RCN blog helpful  [My life at UWC RCN: April 2013](My life at UWC RCN: April 2013) Does anyone know of any good AD blogs?

@ripcity14 I don’t remember which blog it was because I have read quite a few, but I think it was from a student at AC

@lalalarae, no worries, I started to actually look at schools other than MUWCI and RCN is one of them, so thanks a bunch for the blog.

@RipCity14 They are all truly amazing! which ones are you looking at now?

@lalalarae, MUWCI and RCN  Hahaha, baby steps though. I’m gonna research more now since my apps haven’t actually come out even though it was supposed to be on the National Committee site today. I like RCN though.

I’ve always lived in cities, so that means a loooot of tall buildings and skyscrapers and stuff, so I’ve always loved nature. That’s why I liked MUWCI so much. Now I’ve seen RCN, and it is BEAUTIFUL! Ahhh, the hills and lakes are just brilliant. And I LOVE the cold. Also, they have a lot of adventure based activities and stuff that I’m really interested in like rock climbing. And of course, something that really pleased my was that they have something called ‘Friday Ball Games’ where every Friday we can go to some sort of local sports hall and play basketball :P

@RipCity14 Yes, I love that RCN has so many outdoor activities like skiing and football and basketball  I also love the swimming pool that they rent out! Possibly best of all is the Fjord and SNOW! I would love to have my first snowball fight :P

@RipCity14 I live in a tourist beach town so it would be waaaaay different than the bustle and major car traffic that I’m used too; as well as the temperatures! might be time to buy my first real coat… If I can make it in  to anywhere really since most of these places seem to have snow!

@lalalarae i took a coat to Malaysia. luckily, because t he air con was freezing at night, so i wore my coat to bed :’)

@farmgirlmoo I love A/C  Its the only reason I can survive the summer

@lalalarae hahaha, i found it too cold!! it was nice for a while, then i was just like brrrrrr

@farmgirlmoo do you not have A/C in wales? /do you have heat?

Nowhere has A/C in the UK - just a minority of shops/restaurants lol

@lalalarae, I’m with you 100%. I do not own a sweater, or any other warm clothes for that matter. You don’t need it when it reaches 50 degrees celsius in summer. I wouldn’t mind freezing in Norway for a bit.

@hedwig8 do you ever get hot?

@ripcity14 freezing sounds like a good alternative to excessive sweating and multitudes of mosquitoes!

@lalalarae, well if I get into MUWCI, it will be excessive sweating and mosquitoes galore.

@RipCity14 I think anyone could deal with that if it meant going to MUWCI! :P

@lalalarae, I’m more than used to it so it’s not a problem for me. I don’t care what it takes I want to get in soooooo bad.

@DancingDaisy, you are welcome!
@lalalarae, I posted an AD blog’s link a few pages back. And I know a few others about AD but they are in Hungarian.
It just started snowing here today. I am so happy for that.
Out weather is quite changeable. It can reach the 40s in summer but in winter it can reach -15 degrees. I definiately prefer the cold weahter.

@mediduet, I was really confused by your temperatures at first, but then I remembered Fahrenheit v. Celsius  another problem because of country differences!
It’s so strange to think that some of you guys have never seen snow! Where I live we have every type of weather from horrible heat waves to snowmaggedons! But its the humidity that’ll kill ya…
And I have been trying to find an AD blog for a while, so that’s great!
