vacation

I know a lot of movies/tv shows portray this, but do college kids typically come home during spring break or do they go on a vacation? I'm asking because I have a few college friends who came home instead of going somewhere.

lots of college kids go home.

Do you really think most college kids go on thousand dollar trips?

some do, some don’t.
most split the cost to go on vacation to somewhere inexpensive. at my brother’s college, i noticed they always have a bunch of discount vacation fliers hanging around for diff vacation companies. the ones i saw were like a couple hundred

i guess it matters what you’re into

I live and go to college in Florida, so I know a lot of people who hit the beach for the week. I also know tons of people who go home, myself included.

I know people who go home, go on a vacation, or do both. When you go to school far enough away from home, going home is a vacation.

This is one of those things that depends on the individual. It’s not really a set in stone deal.

I agree with SEA_tide… I go to school far enough away from home that I consider going home a vacation.

^Same.

Only this year my parents are coming to visit me at school…I didn’t feel like making the 8+ hour drive because the next week two of my friends and I are driving down that way to go to Coachella.

My friend and I are going on a trip for spring break but only because I am awesome at finding cheap flights and cheap hotels…and because my dad lives 2 hrs away from where we are going. XD
