just send it as additional information.

A month from today the letters will be sent out!!
I’m so excited/nervous/anxious!!
This is a pretty pointless post but I thought I’d get the ball rolling again since things are really starting to get close!

:) I hope decisions don’t get delayed because of the snow!

Ahhhh the anticipation will only grow. I hope I dont go crazy by next month.

haha we’ll have to pray for beautiful weather that week.
I just want to know now, I’ve been waiting for this news for years. :(

You do have somewhat of a valid point. Unfortunately, your reasoning is poor. Rice and Vandy are definitely comparable schools. There are many similarities between them. However, you will come to realize that rankings and statistics mean very little. College counselors and admissions offers dismiss these numbers year after year. If Rice admissions didn’t deem the applicant fit due to academic reasons, then yes, I agree with you, Vandy might not either. But, you must not forget that there are so many more aspects to an admissions decision. Admissions officers are trying to build a class based on the ideals of the university. While somebody might stick out like a sore thumb at school A, he or she might be perfect for school B. In addition, maybe they want to see how you progress throughout the semester. So to kobudnik, though you may think “admissions is a random process”, it is far from it. These counselors spend months reading applications from dawn to dusk. They are experienced in their field. Not every single person with a 4.0 GPA and 2400 on the SAT’s is meant for every school.

To sypde24: Rice and Vandy are two of my favorite schools. By no means am I trying to be a debbie downer. I hope that EDII works out of you, and if not, that Rice ultimately accepts you in the RD round. They are both fabulous places for many reasons.

im hella nervous.

college282, ditto. I want this so much!

Question:

Are all you EDIIers sending in mid-year reports? My school is super slow on them, and I am sending one in, but it’s most likely not going to be there before letters go out.

Anyone know anything about mid-year reports for EDII?

i sent in my mid-year report

does anyone know if we might receive our decisions before feb 15?

I was just going to ask the same question Sypde.
I know ED1 got sent a day early so maybe ours will as well?

Hopefully they come early! I’m tired of the wait!!!

if anyone else in here is a stalker of the admissions blogs, Kylie posted this in response to a question yesterday-
“The latest possible mail date is February 15th. However, last year we mailed on February 6th. We will post on the blog as soon as ED II decisions are out the door!”

That is so soon! I posted another question in response to that one and as soon as she replies I’ll post it for all of you to see :)

“The latest possible mail date is February 15th. However, last year we mailed on February 6th. We will post on the blog as soon as ED II decisions are out the door. We have ED II committee on Friday, February 4th. After that we will need several days for letter checking and other administrative items.”

So after this friday all decisions will be made!

Lol I stalk the blog too Wow that is so soon!

well they wont send them the 6th this year because that’s a sunday but they should definitely send them by the 7th. that would make me extremely happy!! :)

The blog now states they could be mailed Friday the 11th or Monday the 14th.

^ Where on the blog does it say that?

“Nicole: At present it looks as if ED II letters will mail either February 11th (Friday) or February 14th (Monday). Keep checking our blog for updates”
