Vanderbilt Class of 2015 EDII

Just read the blog and looked at the link to the Common Data Set. Last year, Vandy took 698 ED out of 2,150 (32%). The blog states this year they took 25% ED. Overall acceptance rate last year (if I calculated correctly) was 18%. I wonder what it will be this year? This rivals some Ivy league schools… but then again, it should! Go Vandy!

So all you acceptees out there:

Big letter, small letter?

Does it say anything on the outside?

MOSAIC–>if accepted ED and MOSAIC is it two different envelopes, or one combined one?

Thank you :)

jmeneses: i was accepted to Vanderbilt RD and invited to MOSAIC at the same time. it comes in one huge white envelope that says “congratulations”

EDII comes in a normal sized white envelope, don’t get siked out haha

Actually, I think the Indiana girl that found out got that MOSAIC thing… not fair. Sorry for the false alarm.
I really hope I find out Monday. I really can’t wait much longer.

Is anyone as nervous as I am? haha.

touhou- YES!! I am so sick of this waiting it’s absurd. School is going to be useless tomorrow. I’m just going to want to get to my mailbox.

I thought about telling my mom to call my cell phone immediately when the letter comes in…

but I think I’d rather open it… haha.

Also, not to stalk, but your stats said you’re a vegetarian!
I’ve been a vegetarian for 7 years! haha.

For ED1, it’s a normal white envelope. But, it’s noticeably heavy because of the envelope they give you for the matriculation deposit. You’ll know right away

I’m actually coming home for lunch to check the mail haha T_T
Hoping for the best :)

Luckily I get out of school a block early since I dual enroll, but sometimes the mail dosent come to hours later. I just hope its great news.

touhou- that’s awesome! I’ll hit my seven year mark in a couple of months! I hardly ever meet kids my age who have been a veggie this long! :)

soooo…people have only been posting acceptances so far…
that makes me worried, like what if they sent out acceptances first and rejections later?

I’ve only seen people posting acceptances who were invited to MOSAIC.

does anyone know how long it will take for a letter to get to boston??

Should be there by Tuesday at the latest.
I’m a little outside of Chicago, and we’re anticipating tomorrow

hey guys, slightly freaking out still. but thanks for the response, i was reading on the ed1 thread that they dont necessarily sent the bigger envelopes for acceptances…is that true??

“hey guys, slightly freaking out still. but thanks for the response, i was reading on the ed1 thread that they dont necessarily sent the bigger envelopes for acceptances…is that true??”

That is correct. For ED they send their notification whether it be an acceptance or a rejection in standard business sized envelopes. I’m not sure if the ED2 letters will include estimated financial aid for those that submitted their CSS profile and/or Fafsa early enough or not. However, my daughter’s ED1 acceptance did include her estimated financial aid package as well as the instructions and information for her matriculation deposit as mentioned before.

I wish you all the best of luck!

Also, lack of consistency in ECs
