Looks Washu ED results are out. Hope we get ours soon.

Maybe less than 48 hours now guys…

As we get closer and closer to decisions, I am finding it harder to keep it out of my mind. I think the most frustrating thing is that even though I am 99.9% sure that I will be getting rejected, there is still that .01% of me that keeps blindly hoping.

I am sure that I am not the only one who feels extremely stressed and anxious right now, so please know that you are not alone in this! The wait is agonizing. But please know that even if our decision is not what we want, it does not define our future or who we are. From what I can tell, you are all deserving of a great education, and you are the kinds of people who will make that happen no matter where you are. (After all, you wouldn’t be applying to Vanderbilt if you weren’t!) And I am sure you have heard this all before, but you should be proud of what you have accomplished so far. Honestly think back on all the things that you have done and take a moment to realize that you have done a great job and know that you will continue to do so.

Again, it has been wonderful to have this mini support group along the way. I wish us all the best of luck! (And now, back to my Calculus work in a probably futile attempt to take my mind off of this! :)) )

I just keep reminding myself that the other schools on my list are such great places to be! I think at almost any college the opportunities for research and making connections are there, you just have to seek them out and be motivated. College will be what we make of it, regardless of the school.

@Elizabeth1315 I with you with the .01%!! I feel like I’m being naive whenever I feel good about the decision that’ll hopefully come soon, but I just can’t help being hopeful!

@nerdfighter23 I know! Even though I know the acceptance rate and I know my changes are low, I cannot help but still want and hope to get in (probably because it is my dream school). But @593peppy is right- college will be what we make of it!

And I just realized that I forgot the last nine in my 99.99%, so now it looks like I can’t add, but I promise I can!

Yea definitely, and getting rejected from Vanderbilt doesn’t mean you wont get into another good school! A friend of mine who graduated last year got rejected from WashU but accepted to Stanford!!! So don’t let the possibility of getting rejected from Vandy let you think you can’t go anywhere just as great or better.

So this is probably gonna be me… <a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube;
ugh I can’t believe how close it is, I don’t even know what to expect anymore

has anyone tried calling admissions to see if they will release the admissions decisions date?

I’m applying regular decision, so I won’t be under this kind of stress for a few more months. I can’t imagine. Good luck to everybody!

I tried calling them a couple days ago and they said the 15th but the lady didn’t seem to know what she was talking about haha. I hope we get an email tomorrow saying they will be released Friday!

Same @lala121. She seemed like she waa uninformed.

@livelovedance97 Oh goodness that was hilarious and awful at the same time XD

So my sister just called me to her room, asked me how to spell Vanderbilt, and then proceeded to show me it in a book she’s reading. IT IS EVERYWHERE!!!

Hey guys I’m just wondering what some of your safety schools are? Or where you hope to go if Vandy doesn’t work out (depressing to think about I know)

If we don’t get an email tomorrow I might just go nuts

I got accepted to Tulane already with a pretty nice scholarship so thats where I probably will be if I dont get Vandy!

I already applied to UVA and UT. If I do not get in I am also applying to UNC and SMU. SMU is my safety school @ToriP7

@ToriP7 My safety is Whitworth (I already got in there) and I’ll apply to WUSTL, Lehigh, and CMU if necessary

Okay! Thank you! I’m just looking for another place to apply. I’m also applying to WUSTL, Illinois-Urbana, Wisconsin - Madison, and Butler, yet I’m looking for one more.
