nothing
do we think it’s tomorrow? or next week…?
@IndirectProofs yes, I guess it is. Hopefully, it’ll land me an acceptance. You didn’t go to high school though, right?
If it’s not tomorrow then it must be Monday.
I’d guess tomorrow because next week would be cutting it so close, but there’s really no way to know
Might be tomorrow or Friday. Don’t think they’d do it after that bc it’d be unsusually late right
@pixelchix23 Vanderbilt probably has an increasing number of transfer apps each year, so it might not be unusual for them to release the first wave of decisions later than they have before (Although I am very much hoping the send them tomorrow).
Although I can find the previous year’s facebook group, I am unable to find this year’s. Can someone link it in here?
@goodreads yes that’s right. The last grade I completed was 7th grade. I have definitely made up for it though and I have done a lot especially in math!
Do we know for certain that decisions only come out at 5:15pm?
I don’t think so, but from what we’ve all seen on previous year’s threads, that’s when it happened. But they honestly could do whatever they feel like lol
It seemed like last year that there were a relatively small number of outright rejections. Instead there were a lot of waitlistings. However those seemed to equal a rejection. That is where in Freshman Regular Decision, a good number of applicants got off the waitlist, I do not recall seeing any Transfer applicants get off the waitlist.
Still could be today. Nashville is central time. They are still working. But tomorrow is NFL Draft day in Nashville, so that would be an interesting release combo: NFL rookie draft picks and Vanderbilt transfer draft picks. Good luck to you all.
@whata777 I read through the transfer waitlist from last year and although no one in the thread got taken off, there weren’t a lot of people in it and it is hard to know how representative these thread samples are of the whole waitlist/applicant population.
@Quakerdude It is a good point that the number of people on the transfer waitlist thread was not large. I primarily was referring to the primary transfer threat. At the point of the thread where decisions were posted, the majority of them seemed to be waitlist. … and the freshman waitlist thread had several posts by people getting off whereas the transfer waitlist thread did not. Although, I agree that is not definitive, just a sample for whatever it’s worth.
Vanderbilt is playing with our emotions, this wait is almost as worse as the Georgetown wait
@IndirectProofs I see. I thought you had skipped all of high school.
Checking this thread every day around 5pm literally gives me heart attack…
I’m so tired of refreshing and refreshing ?
one of my professors who wrote my rec went to Vandy and knows it’s my first choice , but he also wrote a rec for two other schools and my email said he submitted them at the same time? Do you think he just used the same essay? Bc it would probably help me if he wrote a Vandy specific one.
