@mjr2013 Good to know, thanks
I’m just curious, are you guys planning on staying in the dorms or getting an apartment? I’m trying to see what would be cheaper but I also don’t want to miss out on the “college experience” so to speak.

apartments in nash are hella expensive especially without roommates… unless you have a car and roommates and are willing to commute it’s not really a super economical option
My fiance is the property manager at an apartment complex right down the road from Vanderbilt and they are super expensive but they are also very nice. If I get accepted, I hope they won’t have an issue with me living off campus. I’m engaged and we own our own house.
Hi everyone,
i just got accepted the other day (biggest shock of my life) and was wondering if I wanted to visit next weekend, are there any programs for admitted transfers? Any financial assistance for visiting? Where are people staying?
Hey just a couple quick questions. I was accepted yesterday and I am so excited to attend, but of course there’s always something new to stress out about. How hard is it to maintain a high/decent (3.5 +) GPA at Vanderbilt? I am an economics major and have a 4.0 at my current university, but I know Vanderbilt will be a large step up in diffiuclty. The second is I am not a huge party goer or frat guy, will I be able to find groups of people who are like this? I am still in shock that i was accepted. Good luck to everyone still waiting on decisions and I look forward to meeting some people that I will be going to school with next fall!
Anyone accepted already get financial aid factored into the expected cost of attendance page or is everyone’s the full 65-70k rn?
@watermychances I got mine but it wasn’t on the same “COA” tab, my FA section showed the grants + work study in my package (didnt actually explicitly state my COA, but of course it’s just substraction to calculate that).
my “every-page-reminder” for those who haven’t already done so- Please remember to post your decision in the decision thread! You can be as vague as you want about your stats if you’re not comfortable with posting that info, or you can just post your decision! It will be an immense help to future transfer applicants.

The admission office has just posted a new article.
Does anyone know when/how we can find out which credits will transfer?
Evidently it’s after we put in our deposit, which is stupid, then we have to upload all of our syllabi. At least for CAS.
Holy crap, according to that article the transfer acceptance rate is 16% now. They said they had 1300 apps with 210 spots. I thought it was like 30%
Thanks for sharing that @PsychPRC . Hoping for something today, the waiting wears you out.
Sorry, don’t mean to freak out anyone who doesn’t know yet
The acceptance rate is not 16%. Just because they have 210 spots does not mean they will only accept 210 people.( they will probably accept 400 people) therefore it is still 30%.
The 210 spots is likely after yield. Past year 218/398 admits matriculated, so they’ll probably take ~380 students to fill 210 spots, for an acceptance rate around 29%.
@phoenix23 Can you explain? We actually have to submit all of our course syllabi? I definitely haven’t held on to them…how does that work?
Yea there is a difference between the admited and the enroll
Ohhh I see, but what would happen if Vandy was wrong with their yield rate and more people enrolled from the admitted pool than they have spots?
@Mastodon97 that is the reason why they admit on a rolling basis
