I actually believe the May 2nd thing. and if it comes before then it’ll be a happy surprise. (jk i will TOTALLY be disappointed if nothing is heard next tuesday)
hey anyone who has already gotten accepted… have you guys recieved anything in the mail??? or just online through portal?? like an acceptance letter in the mail orrrrrr
I haven’t gotten anything in the mail just portal stuff. Then again most schools take their sweet time getting their mailed stuff to me.
oh okay congrats man! also, do you know how we can check how much credit we get for our current classes or is there not a way to do that before we matriculate? @phoenix23 or does nayone know this?
@financeguyjames Depends on the college within Vanderbilt, but in my case (I was accepted into Peabody), I had to email someone all of the syllabi of the courses I have taken/am taking at my current college. Supposedly, she’ll email me back with my credit evaluation, but that has yet to happen.

@limitsbylaw You already paid the deposit already? Did you receive the email about setting up VUnetID?
I just got a packet in the mail today from Vandy. @financeguyjames It’s pretty much the same stuff as the portal.
According to previous threads, the second wave would come one week after the 1st one instead of the deposit ddl of the first wave.
I would expect some decisions Monday or Tuesday because it is kinda impossible for the admission officers to decide everything within 2-3 weeks, release “real” decisions only once, and see whether people accept. That is equivalent to “waitlist everybody else” and surely is not how rolling works. Typically the first wave is the applications that they have reviewed first and are sure about
However, I would also say that unless there are some applicants who submit their applications super late, otherwise it seems very likely that the earlier one receives decision, the stronger the profile. I don’t know how they make it work though, probably high GPA or some other stuff that could be easily judged
Well i hope we get some this week but based solely on when I got an email last year, I don’t expect mine until later lol… they hate me
@vertiasyht Yeah, I put down the deposit the same night I was admitted. Decided that since I was almost certainly going to accept the offer, I might as well.
@somehmonggirl Have faith. You will get your acceptance notification when you least expect it (it’s what happened to me - I was literally doing homework on Tuesday night when I got the email and my heartbeat picked up).
@financeguyjames I got something in the mail yesterday (according to my family). I live in northern Illinois.

This entire weekend I banished the thoughts from my mind and enjoyed these days going out with friends. I really needed that hahaha
