Specifically I go to UW Fox Valley if anyone is interested haha. Cheapest in the state! Our number one school that students transfer to is UW Oshkosh and it’s by a lot
That’s ctool, I would bring up Packers stuff but that would agigtate the moderators so I’m not going to do it
So what are your guy’s plans if you get rejected? Are you guys applying to more schools or trying again next year?
Planning to try next year too.
I applied to 10 schools. I wanted to make sure I would get in somewhere I liked because there’s no way I’m putting off a four year for another year.
I have a very real possibility of getting rejected by all the 5 schools I applied to…and I’m definately not staying at my current school…and I’m finishing my sophomore year so I cant apply next year…talk about a recipe for disaster lol
I’d hate to stay at my school for another semester also. But I’ve had a great epiphany with my friend, and I think I might apply to better schools next year with better specs. I’m expecting nothing from this transfer tbh
Like I said before if I don’t get in I’ll be going to University of Wisconsin! I’m actually excited either way! I also applied to Northwestern but I don’t think I would go there even if I was accepted, Wisconsin is ranked SO much higher for biology and also offers Microbiology which I am really interested in
of course Vandy is my dream school though. Third time applying is the charm
@inordie Yeah, me too. I’m not expecting to get in, so I’ll likely be spending at least another year at my current college.
Anyone apply to Rice? I applied to six schools, all of which are reach schools so I just expect to stay at my current school tbh.
@Mastodon97 why don’t you want to stay at your current school? Also, maybe just take the semester or year off and apply again? do something productive during the break though
I’ve also applied to a fair amount of colleges. In my free time, I actually calculated the probability of getting accepted to at least ONE of them. 84%.
Those are some decent odds, mathematically speaking :))
@AGoodFloridian where did you all apply?
- Way waaayyy too expensive
- I hate it here (atmosphere, students, the only good part of the university are the professors)
- Number 2 is because the school I’m at is basically a commuter university, but still a nationally ranked one (not high by any means though).
- See numbers 1 and 2
If I reapplied next year again wouldn’t I basically have the same application? So what would be the point?
You go to a CUNY? I feel you on some of the other stuff. I just try to make the best out of it. If I don’t get in ill prolly become a male stripper.
Are they only going to post to portals on Friday/send out emails on Monday?
@HopefullyIGetIn Nope, large city Catholic university, ironically probably the most anti-catholic campus in the country.
I think it could be either monday or friday when any decision will come out at all
I applied to ten universities total, Vandy included… Most are reaches (for any applicant).
I’ve been accepted to Michigan and Michigan State already, and honestly if I am accepted to Vandy, I would have a TOUGH time deciding between Michigan, where I’ve wanted to go my entire life, and Vanderbilt, a school the more I see the more I love.
