hopfully we are more accurate then the polls were
Is there any chance they post decisions tomorrow afternoon?
@limitsbylaw Judging from past year’s threads, a small one.
unsure because first wave last year was on a monday. we are just assuming those in the first wave didn’t think to check their portals before they got an email, and that based on how vandy did it after the first wave their portals were updated the friday prior to the email
Wait, so is there a consensus that most get accepted in the first wave or no?
why is the transfer acceptance fairly high (around 30% ) for Vanderbilt for transfer and so low for regular decision as an incoming freshman? and I really do hope they send us their decisions tomorrow
no, we aren’t sure since CC isn’t indicative of the entire applicant pool. Also, there are a couple factors to why the transfer rate is higher than RD freshman admission and we explored a couple of those reasons a little further back in the thread. To boost stats, freshman housing limitations, etc.
i’m so anxious like i’m LIVING on CC right now
^ @somehmonggirl I have literally been on CC all day. Guess this is how my month is gonns be xD
@somehmonggirl too real haha
I told myself that this time around I wouldnt obsess over admissions, but here I am
@VaishS LITERALLY SAME… especially because I was like “Ok last year i didn’t get a decision until May so don’t feel anxious until May since you won’t get your decision earlier than that” but my mind is like “WHAT IF!!”
@somehmonggirl I have an exam tomorrow I havent studied for but I guess being on CC, even though there are no decisions yet, is more important #priorities
lol there’s this really specific feeling about waiting on transfer decisions that i explained to my friend. I said it was like if somebody told you they were going to throw a ball really hard at your face but you won’t know when. Then you proceed to watch people around you get balls thrown at their faces randomly, and you get really paranoid and anxious about when the ball is gonna hit your face…!!
The worst part, when compared to first year admissions, is just not having anybody to share you pain with IRL. That’s why I’m addicted to CC right now even though I should be writing a paper lol
you’d think since i go to a two year my peers would be suffering as well, but many of them aim really low so they don’t have to worry about it regardless lol…
@somehmonggirl couldn’t be more accurate if I tried :))
I rember you saying you have auto-transfer to U-W. do you go to a branch U-W campus or something?
In Wisconsin, all 2-year schools that I know of are affliliated with the University of Wisconsin and have guaranteed transfer to any 4-year University of Wisconsin school that the student picks as long as they maintain a certain GPA. It’s not directly a University of Wisconsin- Madison satellite or anything, but yes its associated with the University of Wisconsin system
Oh I’m in a similar situation lol
