Vanderbilt Transfer Thread [Fall 2017]

@AGoodFloridian Yes, so they are little behind their past releases. Since they seem to have monday/friday trend pretty consistently, I think my rejection will probably arrive this week friday.

@inordie Same lol.
So it if’s released Friday there’s gonna be no emails right? Just and update on the portal.

Is it possible for us to expect a higher amount of decisions being released this first wave, as they did take more time than usual?

@JSPHHAN hmm I’m not sure about that, since I’d assume that they only release once they have certain amount of applications reviewed…

@inordie That’s a good point. I guess the admissions office would just be a week behind on waves.

Will the first wave be acceptances or rejections only or both?

probably both who knows

@joonyblue12 From what i’ve seen, most were acceptance for the first wave. And I heard that they release rejections for some tho.

That’s what I’ve seen too. Mostly acceptances with an ocasional waitlist. Probably not rejections.

Did any decisions come out on Friday in the past years?

yes but it seems like no emails were sent out. decisions were released on the portals but no one was notified via email until the following monday @Mastodon97

Well my counselor is out until Friday, so maybe they’ll finalize decisions then and release on Monday

@Meeeedicine Who’s ur counselor?

Benjamin Gutierrez

Could I get a rechance here?

@RunnerDude14 I would be extremely surprised if you weren’t accepted. Especially with those ec’s.

Were there essays for vandy other than the common app essay and the explanation about an ec? I did those two but people make it sound like there were more. I hope I didn’t miss any!

@juliar95 I believe those were the only two.

@RunnerDude14 If you took 13 AP courses and got an unweighted avg of an A- (3.6 uw) shouldn’t your GPA be a lot higher than 4.1?

@watermychances 93-100 was an A for us. I got a B in most of the AP courses.
